EDUCATION & YOUTH MINISTRY
Sunday School
Superintendent: Jean Benton
Our Redeemer offers Christian education opportunities to youth age 3 through 12th grade on Sunday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., from September to May of each year. Classes are held in the education wing. Please contact Jean Benton if you have questions, or wish to enroll your child in the Sunday School Program.
Confirmation
This program provides opportunities for parents to mentor their 7th and/or 8th grade child(ren), to look deeply into their faith, their relationship with God, and their responsibilities as Christian people. Confirmation begins in September and continues through May, and meets from 10:45 - 12:00 Sundays after church during the education hour. Parents are asked and encouraged to come with their child during this time. Please contact Pastor Gorshe if you have questions or wish to enroll in the Confirmation program.
Release Time
Release Time is an educational program in which 3rd and 4th graders are bussed from Cohasset Elementary to Our Redeemer for one hour of religious education every other week from October through March. Three very dedicated Release Time teachers work to bring the message of Jesus' love and His Word to these kids and their families. Please contact the school to sign up your student for this opportunity.
GLORY (God Loves Our Redeemer's Youth)
This is one way for young people to be involved at Our Redeemer. Youth ministry at Our Redeemer allows teens in 6th - 12th grade to meet on a regular basis for fun, for fellowship and mutual support in the faith. GLORY regularly meets on Sundays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Please check the bulletin and newsletters for updates, as some events occur at different times.
Acolytes
Contact: Pastor Gorshe
All 7th & 8th grade confirmation students and their parent(s) serve as acolytes. They light the altar candles before the worship service and extinguish candles after the service.
